Toward the development of new radiation detection technology
NARITA Shinya (Associate Professor)

NARITA Shinya (Associate Professor)

Radiation detection technology is used in a wide range of fields, such as energy, the environment, medicine, and particle and nuclear physics research. In this laboratory we are developing new radiation technologies that respond to the uses and purposes of these fields. Also, in recent years there has been more attention on condensed matter low-energy nuclear reactions, which open the way to innovative technologies such as environmentally friendly and highly economically-efficient energy generation, waste disposal and the generation of rare elements. We are also working on basic research aimed at elucidating the as-yet unclear reaction mechanism, through methods such as radiation measurement.
