to develop domestic aircraft engines for safe flight.

FUNAZAKI Ken-ichi (Professor)

We are using wind tunnel experiments and large-scale computer simulations to research the high performance, high efficiency, and high reliability of aircraft engines. The focus of this laboratory is on how to manufacture domestically-produced aircraft engines that ensure safe flight. Because this kind of aircraft engine technology can be also be directly used in the development of steam turbines and gas turbines for power plants, we also study how to improve their performance. Joint research with companies is also thriving, and the research in this laboratory is being directly utilized in the development of aircraft engines
