Summary Nanotechnology has attracted considerable attention in both scientific and commercial fields because it triggers a so-called 'The 21st Century's Industrial Revolution'. To facilitate various practical applications, fabricating nanomaterials is the core technology and is indispensable to the construction of the green innovation society. I am engaged in exploring and fabricating versatile functional nanomaterials through various surface finishing techniques based on electrochemical and chemical methods like anodization, electro-/electroless deposition, and sol-gel synthesis. Moreover, I also dedicate to the investigation on practical applications of the nanomaterials in broad fields such as electrode materials for batteries and hydrogen production, energy conversion devices, automotive connectors, components for electronic & electrical devices, photo-catalysis, perpendicular magnetic recording media, and photovoltaic materials, etc.
