Summary Water pollution may result from interactions between water and contaminated soil, and soil pollution may also cause contaminated water in the same way. Moreover, such pollution can affect plants, animals, and organisms living there. I study the behavior of a variety of elements in soil and water environments. The chemical form and behavior of some elements, such as selenium and iodine, are sensitive to oxidation-reduction conditions in environmental media. Therefore, I am researching the chemical form of contaminated elements in the environment and identifying the factors influencing changes in chemical form. This knowledge is useful for environmental assessments.
