Summary I discovered, for the first time in the world, that the metallic double chain cuprate Pr247 shows superconductivity after a reduction thermal treatment. The superconductive transition temperature of this compound is an absolute temperature of 20 K. In my research, I aim at enhancing the superconductivity properties by improving the material manufacturing process. I have also studied the relationship between physical frustration and the supergiant magnetoresistance effect in substances showing a magnetic field-induced insulator metal transition. As a result, I have discovered a step-like lattice deformation similar to martensitic transformation. I am considering applying this substance to shape memory materials and magnetic memory elements.
