Summary My research efforts are concentrated on analyzing the relationships between micro- and macro-behavior in materials by numerical simulation, with the aim of promoting the practical application of large shape memory alloy elements where complex thermal and dynamic loads are involved. In highly accurate pressing and injection molding, deformation in the die must be taken into account. I am therefore also researching techniques that use numerical simulation to improve the processing accuracy by optimizing the temperature of the die, the layout of parts, and the processes based on an analysis of the temperature distribution and thermal deformation of the die during processing.
