Summary New polymer materials with various functions have recently gained attention as advanced materials to support high-tech industries in the aerospace, information and communication fields. To meet the needs of these industries, we have developed a triazine-based monomer that can be used as a functional monomer which can easily introduce various functional groups. With the triazine-based monomer, we are creating functional polymers that include thermally stable polymers, fluorinated polymers, organic and inorganic composite materials, and highly transparent polymers. We are also engaged in developing novel, highly-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and precise polymerization techniques to facilitate synthesizing functional polymers.
