Summary In designing “human-friendly products” aimed at the coexistence, adaptation, and harmonization of humans and machines, it is important to consider the physical, physiological, and psychological characteristics of users. Our research lab has directed its attention to the physical characteristics of users and we are developing assistive devices (i.e., assistive robots) so that by establishing physical modeling technologies for elderly and handicapped persons and new human sensing technologies, people can use their residual motor functions to the maximum or reduce their physical load in daily life.
Research Fields Medical and Biological Engineering, Assistive Technology, Robotics
Subjects Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, C Programming Language Practice, English Seminar in Science and Technology
