Summary The mechanism of superconductivity is surprising as well as its famous phenomena of zero resistivity and full diamagnetism. Electrons in a solid are strongly correlated with each other and behave coherently in a superconducting state. This condensed state is a rare case in which an effect of quantum mechanics emerges in a macroscopic scale. In order to discover and reveal exotic magnetic or transport properties in these highly correlated systems, we are investigating pressure effects on superconductors and Mott insulators focusing on the three degrees of freedom of electrons, charge, orbital, and spin.
