Summary Our laboratory conducts basic and applied research on organic transistors and other organic electronics using organic materials (semiconductors, conductors and insulators). Our efforts are mainly focused on enhancing the performance of organic transistors, and research and development of bipolar organic thin film transistors with both electron and hole conduction. Compared with currently available inorganic transistors such as silicone, organic transistors have superior features, such as flexibility, lightness, impact resistance and thinness. I am also conducting research into luminescence under a double injection of electrons and holes, and photoelectric devices using the photovoltaic effect.
