Summary With the dissemination of precision equipment such as digital cameras, high-precision machining has become necessary. High-efficiency and low-cost features are other indispensable factors. The mechanical machining process is a suitable choice to meet these requirements. Our research lab is studying how to clarify the machining mechanism with the objective of improving precision machining. We are also studying how to improve machine tools based on this machining mechanism to achieve higher precision and efficiency.
